Our Mission
At The 5th Group Training to protect yourself & your loved one’s, we are dedicated to providing our students with the highest quality firearms training, self defence, hand to hand combat, tactical & prepping are available. Our mission is to teach students how to safely and effectively handle their firearms and themselves in a variety of situations.
Instructors
Our Chief Instructor has 11 years of military service as a Special Forces Operational Team Sergeant and Military Policeman. He is an Illinois State Police & NRA certified firearms instructor, a DHS certified CERT and Active Shooter Assessment instructor. In addition he has practiced and instructed in various forms of Martial Arts for over 20 years.
Programs
Concealed Carry Certification
Our Illinois State Police Certified Instructors will guide you through the entire process of applyiing for a State of Illinois Concealed Carry License . We have recommendations for fingerprinting. (Fingerprinting is not included in the price of the course.)
The Illinois State Police requires 16 hours of training our course include an optional 4 extra hours (no additional charge) on our computer guided laser range, practicing draw & fire and tactical reloading. In addition you will be NRA Certified in Basic Pistol.
